All the photographs I believe are from Dorchester in 1966 but some maybe 1965.
The first ones are of a parade in September 1966, which maybe to commemorate 110 years of the Constabulary.

CID OFFICERS
Bill MAYO , 4TH from the left nearest, by the car front offside wing.
I am especially interested to name the above officers in plain clothes. They must be CID senior ranks ! Looks like a Devon and Cornwall officer with his spike on his helmet, although I recall the spike was called something else in those days.
The following photographs I believe are from 1966, Chief Constable Arthur HAMBLETON receiving the Queens Police Medal in the grounds of the Thomas Hardye School on Queens Avenue, Dorchester. DCC James ALDERTON and the cadet officer, Alec “Jock” GRACIE are also in several photos. PHOTOGRAPH 12 BELOW

Below photographs are from a First Aid Awards ceremony at HQ. Supt Charles RUSHEN and Vic DAVIS are obvious in some, with braiding on their caps, but others are not familiar. Some have been updated now.

And lastly a few more from a social function at HQ.
Betty PEEK nee EYERS has kindly emailed with the information I need.
The social function at HQ (last four photographs below) took place on Tuesday 27 July 1965 and may be entitled “Chief Constable’s Coffee Morning”. The Mayor and Mayoress of the county town are Clr. and Mrs. R. R. Collins. The girl in cadet uniform in photographs 26 and 28 is Betty EYERS aged 18 years who was Dorchester town’s first appointed girl police cadet in Dorset.
I can also say that in photograph 25 , 3rd from left is DCC James ALDERTON, then 4th, June SWATRIDGE (wife of Harold), 5th I believe is Pat BURT nee LOVELL ( wife of Lenny BURT)

Tall bald male to right of the farthest Skol umbrella we believe to be Charles RUSHEN.
If you can identify anyone, other than CC HAMBLETON and Vic DAVIS, not already mentioned I would welcome your help. IAN

The photos showing Sir Joseph Weld presenting the QPM to Arthur Hambleton, include a cadet holding a cushion, who stands to Sir Joseph’s left. He looks like Alex Gracie to me
