Late 1966 or early 1967, this is the retirement “do” of Charles BAIGENT.
This photograph has been lent to me by Richard SYMES, son of Jack, so thankyou Richard.
The BAIGENTS , Sidney, Richard and Charlie all had good careers and Charlie was the last as far as I know !
Charlie joined Dorset Constabulary as PC 25 in early 1937, but I do not know the exact date, but he following on from his brother Richard, and their father Sidney who was the Training Sgt for 16 years after WW1. Both Charles and Richard were in charge of the Bridport Division and Charles probably took over from Dick as he was known when he also retired.
